Day 42 - A picture of you and your best friend(s) from third grade

when i was in third grade? i don't recall having a best friend during that time. however, here is a picture of my best friend from elementary. this is lloyd gonzales. we could have been

best friends even throughout high school but he transferred to another school so we had to part ways. but i remember telephone conversations with him like once a year. i miss this guy. he's now in london working as a nurse.

Day 43 - A picture of you celebrating

this is me and my friends celebrating Christmas last year. with everything that's been going on in our separate lives, we kind of don't see each other that often anymore. but this is one of the best memories i have in the past year.

on top is a picture of my core friends.

we've been friends since high school (some of them since first grade). Camille (beside me, wearing striped blue, second from the left) is now in singapore working as a nurse. and jacqui (third from the right) is now in saudi arabia, also working as a nurse. daneza (leftmost) is just waiting for her plane ticket to go to saudi arabia, to work as a nurse. yep, most of my friends are nurses. (n_n)

in the bottom is a motley of my cousins and friends. no explanations needed here. no one left, everyone's still in the good ol' PI.

Day 44 - A picture that describes your life

this is mt. kalbario (calvary) a few blocks from our house. when you're sit

ting in the living room and

you look

out the window, you will see it. and in the back of our house is the laguna de bay. we are in the middle of a mountain and a lake.

mt. kalbario used to have this small wooden cross, about 6 x 4 feet (i'm guessing, it might have been 5 x 4, i was still small when i last saw it). now it has a gigantic metal cross (as seen on the photo) that is lighted every night. the newest addition to the top is the glass (more like fiberglass) altar of the image of Our Lady of Fatima.

d for you. you climb to the top and if you stop, other people get past you so you have to double your pace, which exhausts you and causes you to stop again. gravity may not be by my side all the time but remember, the farther you are from the center of the earth, the lighter you are. (n_n)

and started doing magic and then things got pretty out of hand. but of course, everything always end alright... i'mma try to look or this episode. i want to watch it again.

Day 46 - A picture of you and

your best friend (s) from

7th grade

this is my best friend from 7th grade (i gather this is the equivalent of 1st year high school here in our islands). this is essa arago. we were seatmates and we just kinda "clicked" right away. she knew me, i didn't know her (she was my classmate during kindergarten). she is now happily married and expecting her first born come december 3.

my favorite animal. cats. love the musical, love the animal, i have 4.

i used to have as much as 17 but nature got to them and called them back to her loving arms.. (T_T)

i'm not sure how old i am in this photo but i do know that this is more than 10 years ago. see that girl with me? that's ate leah. she's happily married now, with kids. she's my ninang's friend. they are in their early 30s now and she was in high school when this was taken.

this is a picture that reminds me of a lot of things. this is my last picture as an employee of transcom. i was asked NOT to log in and then i was told that i can go home. i've never been fired before. that was the first time. (T_T)

leftmost is Ivy, the mastermind of this whole thing. she is in saudi arabia working as a nurse (told you most o my friends are nurses), next to her is JC, an accountant working for one of the best companies in the PI. next to JC is Daniel, working as an assistant project manager for an events and staging company. and then there's me. part time call center agent, full time bum. hahaha

Day 53 - A picture of you in a car

this is a photo of me with keyne (my cousin). this was taken by domz (another cousin). we were bored at home so we decided to go to Don Antonio's in Angono, Rizal. this is car is keyne's adventure. i always ride shotgun whenever we ride this. it's very rare that i don't ride in the passenger seat. idon't know why. neither does she.

Day 54 - A picture of you on your last vacation

this is me on my last vacation, september 2010. my birthday. matabungkay beach resort in batangas. that's iane with me. we were playing beach volleyball with some hunky vacationers and we were sooo tired but we were so happy. as in walang pagsidlan ang kaligayan.


i originally wanted to complete this today but then i hit a roadblock. day 55 is a picture of me with a date. i don't have that. so i'm gonna have to go on a date.. (n_n)

i will finish this. promise.

Day 39 - A picture of your favorite food

pork adobo!

i'm carnivorous so it makes sense that i will put pork here. adobo is a world famous filipino dish cooked with garlic, onions, pork (or chicken) then simmered in soy sauce and vinegar.

Day 40 - A picture of your friends

on the right side are my best friends from home. i've known them my whole life. the lower right photo is our version of temptation island.. hahaha

on the left side are my cousins and other friends that i do the craziest things with.

both groups are fun to be with and i never get a dull moment with them.


Day 41 - A picture of your favorite weather

my fave weather is like this:

cloudy but no rain
sun still shining but not very hot nor humid
wind blowing

it's the perfect weather to think about one's life.
then add coffee, a good book (or a good movie, tv show) and you're all set !

i don't now why but i love this drink sooo much. ever since i got a taste of this, i have been hooked, addicted and totally obsessed. me and my friends drink this every time we have a special celebration. and i haven't tasted this for a while now..

Day 37 - A picture taken at school

this picture was taken in 2003. i was senior in high school and we were just practicing for our graduation. with me here is my dear friend "mommy" etchel matematico. she is my adoptive mom back then because she always had delicious packed lunch and i would mosey around her until she finally gives me some. and then she decided to just go ahead and bring some extra just for me.. amishoo mommmy etchel !!!



Day 36 - A picture of your pet

this is my pet sparksky. i know i've posted this picture here before but every time i see this, i smile and think of sparksky. she's still alive and kicking. she's also spawned innumerable babies (i don't know if i lost count or i just stopped caring after a while) and she is now 6 human years old. she looks different now, of course, but this is just the cutest photo of a cat that i have ever seen.



Day 35 - A picture of your hometown

for security purposes, i will not name my hometown. but this is our church. one of the most beautiful churches in the entire philippine archipelago. it has been featured in broadsheets and i recently saw a picture of it in a marian exhibit in tiendesitas. we have been so blessed to have such a beautiful church.

northpark. not my absolute fave but one of them. i love the food, the service and the ambiance of the place. i also love the sweet tea.

good food, affordable prices, comfy place. what more can a food enthusiast ask for?

Day 33 - A picture of somewhere you went today

tuesday, may 31, 2011. i went to the rockwell business center in ortigas (near medical city) for a client interview with a call center there. i got hired that same day (*,*) and i start work on monday. good timing and i had a lot of good luck that day so i was pretty happy.

i'm not dressed up. but i am a celebrity in my own right. hahaha

'nuff said.



Day 31 - A picture of food you made

do you know that filipino dish that is known the world over? yup, you're right. it's chicken adobo (personally, i prefer pork. i'm carnivorous). well, this is adobo rice with scrambled egg.

how to make adobo rice? first, you cook adobo. then you remove it from the pan and without washing the pan, you use it to fry rice. so all the flavors of the adobo will be transferred to the rice. yum !!!

do i still have to explain?

well, there are decisions that are really hard to make (quitting jobs, stop schooling, name of your cats, etc.) but you will know that you're right when you don't have that heavy feeling afterwards.

Day 29 - A picture that can always make you smile

this photo was taken december of 2007. this was the convergys ortigas "autumn in new york" christmas party. i always smile when i think of my cvg friends and how childish and fun my whole 2 years with them was.

this is a perfect example of how much fun we had. tricia and i were just acting foolish in the lobby of the hotel (crowne plaza, ortigas) when we saw this big stone ball and decided to take a picture with it. that night was so much fun.. *big smile*



Day 28 - A picture of your favorite place in the world

my fave place in the entire world is our sofa. this is where i sit / slouch / lie down / sleep. this is my place in our house. this is where you can find me watching tv, reading a book, texting or just pondering the ways of the world. i love this spot. it's my spot.



Day 27 - A picture of your favorite night

this is not my number 1 night but one of the best nights of my life so far.

this was taken in matabungkay beach in batangas. this was our very first beach outing (me and my best friends from home). we had tons of fun. we played street poker, had a few drinks, played truth or dare and had long (very long) conversations by the beach. the night was made more memorable because i spent it with some of the best people i know. =)



Day 26 - A picture of something that means a lot to you

the myriad of letters i received and "teddy".

the letters mean a lot to me for very obvious reasons. i love getting mail. the written kind. and most of these letters date back to my high school days. whenever i feel down and i need a little pick-me-up, i just open my can of letters and then i start reading them. by the end of 1 letter, i'll definitely be smiling.

"teddy" means a lot to me because it is the very first "romantic" gift i have ever received. it was such a surprise when i got him because i just saw him in the store, told my partner "that's teddy from mr.bean, he's cute" and then i went to the bathroom, when i came back, teddy was there. teddy's been with me ever since. he chose to stay with me when the divorce was finalized. good teddy.

this is a picture of me taken April 2010 at matabungkay beach resort in batangas, philippines.

had so much fun with my dear, dear friends. and when i say dear, i mean, really close... like thisclose. some of them go way back to first grade and the relatively "newer" ones are the ones i met in sophomore high... so that's like a whole lifetime of friendship. thanks guys !!!

my former colleagues at work.

i worked alongside them for 2 years and there was never a dull day. i love this bunch of misfits and if ever given a chance, i'd chose to work with them again.

i miss you guys. i haven't seen almost all of you for like 3 years. we really need a reunion.

and you guys are still the best team i've ever worked with. go perpektos !!!

what can i say? i love this book. it has action, suspense, drama, and a whole lot more. i've read it like 6 or 7 times and it is a definite pick-me-up-i-need-a-smile every time.
